Anima Pop
Pop-art-inspired lighting and furniture define fresh, youthful spaces, designed as places for leisure and sharing.
On the top floor of a small building in Brescia, Prospektiv oversaw the renovation of an apartment for two university students. The project grew out of the wish to give the home a freer identity, able to host everyday life and time with friends without taking on an overly formal tone.
Pop art imagery guided the colour choices and some of the furniture. The home keeps its own sense of measure, built on the relationship between more playful elements and existing materials, such as the original parquet, sanded for a more natural finish. The floor converses with the wooden ceiling of the attic, while light tones amplify the light and make the spaces feel more open.
The project involved the entire home, from the furniture to the restyling of the bathrooms, with a careful lighting design. The living area with open-plan kitchen works with clean lines; next to it, the recreation area introduces softer shapes and houses a modern fireplace with a minimal bookcase.
The bedrooms keep an essential aesthetic and are completed by bespoke en-suite bathrooms. One is clad in Calacatta Oro marble with wet-effect wallpaper; the other features a natural stone with a zebra effect in the shower. The fitness area completes the project with a stylised sheet-metal-effect wallpaper, chosen to give depth and character to the space.
